Slipping or no TCC apply, fluid overheat, and soft or harsh apply are common results of this wear. Additionally, the OE valve repeatedly impacts against TCC solenoid screen, damaging or breaking screen. Resulting screen debris can lodge at the reverse lockout valve, preventing Reverse operation. Sonnax TCC regulator valve kit 55211-24K includes a solenoid protector and allows the bore to be reconditioned to restore normal TCC and Reverse operation. Symptoms: • Delayed Reverse • Erratic TCC apply pressure • No Reverse • Overheated transmission & converter • Poor fuel economy • Soft & harsh TCC apply • TCC lining failure • TCC slip & gear ratio codes Cause: Wear at TCC regulator valve bore negatively affects apply pressure and/or TCC solenoid damaged from contact with valve.
