Reduces cross leaks NOTE: The 36743-01 shim fills the gap between the outer diameter of the center support and the rough-cast surface inside of the case. Since the inside of the case is not a machined surface, the gap between the case and center support will vary between units. The shim thickness will work in MOST units, but due to the variability in case thickness, it will not work in ALL units. Symptoms: Cross leaks Second clutch feed passage leaks at case & center support Cause: Torqued center support bolts deflect the case where the valve body mates. Correction: The Sonnax shim fills the gap between the center support and the case, preventing case distortion.
