The Sonnax kit 68942-14K salvages these valve bodies. • Sonnax valve is hard-coat anodized aluminum to provide wear resistance. • Added length at the outboard spool for additional valve support. • A new spring is included to allow proper calibration. Symptoms: • Damaged converter • Delayed engagement • High stall speed • Lube failures • Overheated converter • Poor performance & higher stall speeds Cause: Severe wear at the outboard spool of the lubricating pressure control valve can create delayed engagements and poor performance. Wear at the inboard spool results in high TCC and lube pressures which can cause converter damage and lube related failures. Correction: Oversize the bore and install the replacement valve and calibrated spring to re-establish proper oil pressure limits. Required tool: F-68942-TL14
