The Sonnax kit 68942-17K salvages these valve bodies. • Sonnax valve is hard-coat anodized aluminum to provide wear resistance. • Replaces both early and late designs. • A new spring is included to allow proper calibration Symptoms: • Delayed engagement • Flare shifts • Low line rise & long shift duration • Shift codes Cause: Bore wear reduces available pressure to both the pMod and pS control solenoids. Low pressure at these solenoids will reduce line boost and clutch feed pressure. Correction: Oversize the bore and install the replacement valve and calibrated spring to re-establish hydraulic integrity. Required tool: F-68942-TL14
