Sleeve kit 4L30E, AODE Severe wear of the servo apply pin bore due to continuous pin oscillation can result in burned clutches, shift complaints and destroyed cases. The Sonnax sleeve kit is made from highly wear-resistant aluminum, and allows the case to be refurbished to provide proper clearance with the servo apply pins. Installation of the sleeve kit requires reamer tool kit S-76890-TL24 and alignment fixture SERVO-FIX. The SERVO-FIX is also used with AXOD & E, AX4S/4N and 5R55N, 5R55W and 5R55S applications. Symptoms: 2nd Clutch burned (GM) 3-4 Flare (Ford) Burnt band (GM) Burnt OD band (Ford) Cause: Severe wear of the case at the servo apply pin bore due to continuous pin oscillation can result in burned clutches, shift complaints, and destroyed cases.
