L/U ctrl plunger OS A750 / A760E / A960 Plunger Valve Sleeve Toyota/Lexus A750, A760 and A960 series transmissions can have complaints associated with a worn plunger valve and sleeve which includes harsh 2-3 and harsh coast downshifts. This is due to the converter clutch remaining applied. When the plunger valve and sleeve wear, this can delay TCC apply, the vehicle RPM may surge or set gear ratio codes due to high slip rates. Installing the Sonnax drop-in lockup control plunger valve and sleeve kit 147741-37K can restore correct lube pressure and valve control timing when bore wear at the lockup clutch control valve is not an issue.
